Yes Virginia, There is a Fairy Hobmother!

I'm sure you have already heard of the Fairy Hobmother, from Appliances Online.  He is known to flit around the Blogosphere, and sprinkle fairy dust in the Comments section of blog posts, sending prizes, and generally spreading cheer.

I heard about him last week on this post of Debbie's.  She said to have a chance to win, leave a comment with a wish.  So I left my wish.  It happened to be a wish (and a prayer) for a poster above me with much bigger wishes than I could have.

A few days later, I got an email from The Fairy Hobmother, who sent me a $30 Amazon Gift Card.   I can't tell you how shocked I was, I never imagined being one of the ones chosen!

I can only tell you that if you Google "The Fairy Hobmother" you will see many winners - typically  Amazon Gift Cards here in the states, while the denominations are all different.   It really is an amazing concept.

Did I also mention that while my official wish was for another, it just HAPPENED to rain buckets in Dallas over the weekend, so I think the Fairy Hobmother is telepathic as well.   ;)

To continue the tradition, The Fairy Hobmother will be visiting the comments section of this post to find other lucky people to bestow some magic upon.  Who knows, you could be next!

Thank you Fairy Hobmother!

This is news to me! I had NO idea!
Ohh, do I need to make a wish? I need some extra dough to help make my basement makeover a reality. Hoping someone hears my wishes!

wow! i hadn't heard of the fairy hobmother either!

my wish is for my mom (my repurposed life) to get some extra moolah to help with her basement transformation! she is clearing out and re-organizing nearly 36 years of accumulation all on her own and it's a pretty overwhelming task! what would be even better is if the fairy hobmother could wave the magic wand and make it all done!! :)

I have never heard of the fairy hobmother either! How fun! Well, I don't know if the fairy hobmother can grant my wish or not, but my husband is being relocated across country for work. So we just need a little fairy dust for safe travels and a smooth move. :)

Fairy Hobmother? How strange a name is that? lol

Wishes...so many. But I guess if I had to choose one, it would be that my brother and his wife would feel the presence of their son and daughter-in-love who were victims of the Alabama tornados this past spring. F & J are coping well, and know they will be reunited in heaven, but miss their kids so much, it would be nice if they got some sort of sign.

Well, if I'm going to make a wish, it may as well be a big one, huh?

A friend of mine wrote this and every time I hear someone mention Wishes ... it comes to mind.

Today I will believe in faeries, magic, wishes and all other nonsense. Today I will be a princess, a wicked queen, my own knight in shining armour, fairy godmother or whatever fanciful creation I imagine. Today I will not let tomorrow taunt me nor yesterday haunt me. Today my tears will be diamonds and I will believe in anything I so desire, no matter how silly, trivial, dark, depressing or outlandish. Today superheroes exist, kisses solve everything, and wishes are granted whether through 3 little beans, a genie in a bottle, or a falling star. Today I will believe in faerie tales, because when your heart is breaking, you hold on to every last strand of magic in your soul. Some days, it’s all you’ve got, it’s those days that will matter most. - Acid PopTart

May everyone's wishes come true!

My Wish is for my Da and my Bear, I wish that Da beats the cancer he has been cursed with and lives a long long life. For my Bear I wish that he comes out of this back injury and has no side affects from it.

Ok My Good Twin... I just already did it. (Meaning I posted a comment ;) )

I like the name Fairy Hobmother!!!!
My wish would be a nice surprise for my hubbie. He has spent weeks putting our home back together after Hurricane Irene, between 24 hour shifts at the fire station and 7 long days replacing the roof...he desires a surprise.

How Fun - the Fairy Hobmother - love it!! I've been eyeing the Vitamix machine and saddly eyeing the hefty price tag associated with it but come on it juices, blends, makes soup, baby food, the possibilities are endless!!
