Random Wacky

I'm really, really glad it's going to be Friday in a few hours.  Really.

Had teen ager drama for the past day or two, and I for one am ready for some peace.  harmony.  paint.  glue.  yanno, the stuff you dream weekends are made of.

I still have to work tomorrow, but I got myself in that weekend-kinda-mode early by painting my nails.  And since I normally ruin good manicures with splotches of paint everywhere, I felt a bit wacky and ruined them..... on purpose.

Here is a picture of today's first bloom on my Queen Elizabeth.  Heaven help me, it's already 90 degrees in Dallas, but at least my roses are happy!

I also caught a picture of a lady bug on my Magnolia tree, but my camera phone didn't think it was important enough to shoot clearly, so let's all just imagine a cute lady bug right now.  Ok, good.

Meanwhile.... at the BatCave.....

A couple of things I'm working on.... Craigslist cart for $20, a $1 wire rack, and a LOVELY 50 cent canvas.   The first rounds of redoing last weekends garage sale fodder is beginning...

And last but certainly not least - an introduction to one of my favorite hobbies - collecting what I call "Desk Toys" and putting them in my office at work.  It's fun to watch people stare at the almost-40-year-old lady with goofy fingernails and toys all over her desk.IMG_20110331_092137 I have a pretty stressful job, and am constantly surrounded by more dark brown wood grain than ANY lover of color should have to be.  The potato-head-couple makes me really happy.  Thanks to my Co-Worker Brandon for bringing my lil Ms. Potato Head the love of her life... they are truly happy together.  :D

HAPPY FRIDAY every one!!!!!!!!!!!

Love the manicure. :) My nails are all a different color but they don't look nearly as purdy as yours. :) I am drooling with anticipation to see what you do with your craig's list scores. The places you could take that cart. Enjoy.
Haha. Thanks for the support and the reminder that even though I have to take three days out of my schedule to drive my mom to my cousin's memorial that at least I am not doing so with a broken arm. I know that sounds really bad but seriously - neither of us has seen this cousin for 30 plus years. He was a smoker and continued to smoke and I think really? You are all surprised? I know I am a major Beeotch. I'm over it. I think the real reason my mom wants to go is she wants to see her sister. My mom is 75 and my aunt is 80 so I get the guilt vibe of "This could be the last time I see her" They will probably both live to be 110. :) I can't decide reading this back if I need another cup of coffee or if I had one too many.
Happy creating. Enjoy the weekend and your beautiful warm weather.
