Dear Purdy,
I have just finished reading a blog post about your painting supplies. Pam @ DIY Design Fanatic raved about your brushes, and said that she has used only YOU for years.
Then I started thinking, and within seconds, thought of 2 other amazing bloggers that I highly respect, that have previously gushed over YOU.
Gail at My Repurposed Life reviewed both the brush, and the 6 in 1 tool, and at some points during the post I felt like I was intruding upon a secret love affair. She undoubtedly loves YOU.
And then there’s Mary @ The Decorative Paintbrush. If having the word PAINTBRUSH in her title, and loving YOU doesn’t make her an authority – then the fact that she said she wouldn’t paint with anything else – does convince me. She also lists the exact reasons YOU are better than all the other poor little brushes.
If you are as good as ALL those people say, then I am sure that I will be singing your praises soon too. I do, however wish that you had found some cheap-brush-buyers like me to send a free review kit to…. as we are the idiot schmucks that need to have the light bulb turned on for us. However, since you didn’t see me over here, waving and begging, I wanted to let you know that my favorite bloggers, and their glowing reviews did it for you – and I shall buy you as soon as the ice melts. :)
Regards,
Cheap-Brush-Buyer-Dawn
*Are there any Purdy owners out there that would be willing to share with me WHICH brush is your favorite? Their Brush page has a lot of choices, and none of them specify “For OOPS paint that has been on the shelf too long”. I’m just curious if there is one you are loving over the other. Or, has anyone used the Brush Comb?
I mean, if I’m going to buy a not-cheap-brush, will this help me keep it for years, like I have heard some people can do?
Isn’t this funny. A paintbrush is such a personal thing, apparently. I feel like I am cheating on my cheap brushes just by writing this post. LOL!

I like the xl 2 inch "cutting" brush ???
the slanted one.
I love it! however you must love your brush for your brush to love you back!
you have to take care of it in the manner it is accustomed to.
:)
clean promptly, and dry, then STORE it in it's cardboard "home".
"like" them on fb, "tweet" them, till they notice. maybe you'll get their attention!

Wow, that takes me back in the life before this one I worked for a paint manufacture and we sold Purdy brushes in our store. They were always the choice of the painters. I have collection myself, that I use on the house, not on the props :D
I use there corner brush to paint trim without having to tape....paint tape is for woosies :D (except for that green frog tape....that is cool stuff :D)
I LOVE the brush comb.....love it. I could not imagine not owning one.
Sorry, it has been a really long time so I am sure the Purdy rep in our area would not remember me and the company was sold to a bigger company so I have no connections to get you free stuff.
But I agree with the talented people, get there brushes they are worth the money.
Cheers!
I'm with Gail - angle brush for cutting in. I guard it with my life. NO ONE is allowed to TOUCH that brush! It's lasted for years and years and tons of paint jobs. I have no idea how much I paid for it, but it's lasted so long, it was more than worth it.
But, since we're on the subject, I also use a load of cheapo 'chip' brushes and foam brushes and toss them when I'm done. ;)
Me, too....2" angle brush. Love love love it! Love the angle. Love that it doesn't shed its brush hairs on my projects! I was curious about the comb, too.
